As part of its long-term strategy to develop and support young maritime professionals, Stargate Ukraine annually conducts a comprehensive selection program for 2nd-year cadets at NUOMA. This initiative is aimed at identifying the most talented, motivated, and promising youth for further professional internships.

The candidate selection process was carefully structured: several stages were conducted to ensure maximum objectivity and a comprehensive assessment of competencies. This integrated approach allowed the expert committee to thoroughly analyze not only the candidates’ basic academic knowledge but also their leadership skills, proficiency in maritime English, and psychological resilience as future seafarers.

The culmination of this large-scale process was the final selection stage for the cadet program, which was successfully held on October 6, 2026. This stage included in-depth interviews with the company’s management and a verification of the candidates’ full compliance with the requirements of international maritime conventions.

Based on the results of these assessments, the expert committee is proud to state that all participants demonstrated a high level of training and readiness to work on board seagoing vessels. The cadets showed a deep understanding of the maritime industry’s specifics, impeccable discipline, and the absolute professional ability to integrate into ship crews and safely perform their duties during actual voyages.
