The Assignment of Cadets – 2009

On the 30th of January 2009 at 10 o`clock the hall of academic council of Odes National Maritime Academy saw the annual assignment of cadets. 200 cadets of Sea Navigation Faculty, 64 cadets of Maritime and Inland Waterway Navigation Faculty, 79 cadets of Engineering Faculty, 32 cadets of Automation Faculty, 20 cadets of Electrical Engineering Faculty were employed. The solemn assignment was visited by representatives of such famous companies as "Aquamarine" (Odesa), „MSC Crewing", „Peter Dohle", „Omega maritime", „BSM Ukraine", „UNIVIS", „V.Ships". In all 430 cadets were assigned this year.

Every year cadets of Odesa National Maritime Academy are employed by the best companies. Every cadet knows that the the deploma of ONMA guarantees high quality knowledge at national and world level. The specialities of ONMA are accredited by IMarEST and also by NI (Great Britain). The personnel is trained fully accordingly to the demands of International Convention on Standards of Training,Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers. (STCW 78/95).

Educational exhibition „Senior 2009"
(Zaporozhie)

From the 29th of January to the 1st February the delegation of Odesa National Maritime Academy participated in X crossregional specialized educational exhibition "Senior-2009". The exhibition took place in the showroom of Zaporozhie Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Exhibition was organized by Zaporozhie Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was supported by Zaporozhie regional Administration of Education and Science and by Zaporozhie municipal Administration of Education and Science.

The solemn opening of the exhibition was visited by such honorary guests as Verozubov A.G. (the head of Zaporozhie regional Administration of Education and Science), Shamilov V.I. (the President of Zaporozhie Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Khotskyi V.I. (Rector of Zaporozhie National University) and many others.

Among the participants of the exhibition were Academy of Statistics, Calculation and Audit of Statistics State Committee of Ukraine, Berdiansk State Pedagogical University, Berdiansk University of Management and Business, Allukrainian magazine Guide of Ukrainian Senior, Zaporozhie building college, Zaporozhie State Engineering Academy, Zaporozhie State Medical University, Zaporozhie Get'man Sagaidachnyi Institute of IAPM, Zaporozhie College of Radioelectronics, Zaporozhie National University, Zaporozhie National Technical University and others. This year the exhibition united more than 30 participants among which are leading educational institutions of all levels of accreditation, language centers, educational courses, employment centers.

The goal of the exhibition "Senior-2009" is spreading of information among school-leavers about most favorable educational conditions and improving of educational institutions.
