Scientific Conference of Young Scientists "Current problems of Electrical and Radio Engineering"
Electrical Engineering and Radio Electronics Faculty of Odessa National Maritime Academy(ONMA) held the fourth annual scientific conference of young scientists - "Current problems of Electrical and Radio Engineering" on 10-11 December, 2014.
At the plenary session a welcoming speech was made by V.S.Lukovtsev, Dean of the Electrical Engineering and Radio Electronics Faculty. In his report, he noted that the annual conferences are traditionally held under the auspices of the Odessa Branch of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology of Great Britain (Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology - IMarEST), which is located in the premises of the ONMA English Club.
V.D. Savchuk, PhD. Prof., Head of Scientific Research delivered a report on the current tasks of scientific activities of the Electrical Engineering and Radio Electronics Faculty for implementation of the Law "On Higher Education".
V.M. Koshevoy, Head of the Marine Radiocommunication Department continued the plenary session and summarized the work of the Ukrainian delegation at the 94 session of the MSC.
The topin on The results of program implementation of the International Telecommunication Union ITU "Geneva - 2006 in Ukraine " was revealed in speech presentation of S.A. Mikhaylov, Prof., Head of Maritime Electronics Engineering.
M.Y. Mukha, PhD, associate professor of Ship Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technology Department was the next speaker, who highlighted the possibility of high-voltage equipment of a Full Mission Simulator Complex of Ship Automated Electrical Power System to provide practical training for ship electro-technical officers.
V.V. Budashko, PhD, associate professor of Ship Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technology revealed the topic on "Physical simulation of multi-operated propulsion unit" at the last plenary meeting. He noted that the most important step for test mathematical and simulation models for adequacy of real object test is the physical models development and improvement, which make it possible to enter maximally a range of practical part of the research work.
Therefore, a wide range of scientific reports presented at the plenary session of the conference reflects the scientific directions in the work of the Faculty's departments as well as subject area of research work of masters and postgraduates.
More than 50 reports on current issues of modern marine Electrical and Radio Engineering Technology were presented at the breakout sessions due to the active participation of cadets, specialists, masters, postgraduates and teachers of the Electrical Engineering and Radio Electronics Department.
Selection of the candidates for a Master's Degree best works to participate in the second stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific works was held according to results of the conference, as well as a collection of research papers was prepared for publication.
